5-Minute Body-Informed Supervision Check-In — Free PDF

£0.00

A free, printable reflection sheet to help you notice what may be happening in your body, emotions and thoughts before supervision. Use the seven prompts to find a question you want to bring to the conversation.

Supervision often begins with what happened in a session. This check-in makes space for something else you may be bringing with you: a bodily sensation, an emotion, an impulse or a question you have not yet put into words.

The 5-Minute Body-Informed Supervision Check-In is a free, three-page A4 PDF for counsellors, psychotherapists, play therapists, supervisors and other reflective practitioners. It guides you through seven steps:

  1. Arrive and notice where you are.
  2. Bring a client or recent session to mind.
  3. Notice the emotion that appears.
  4. Notice what you feel drawn to do.
  5. Name what feels difficult to say.
  6. Separate what you know from what you are interpreting.
  7. Find a question to bring to supervision.

You can use it as a quick check-in without filling every line. The aim is to arrive at supervision with greater curiosity and a clearer sense of what you would like help thinking about.

What you’ll receive: One printable, three-page A4 PDF. This is a digital download; no physical item will be posted.

Body-informed reflection treats your responses as material to explore, not as evidence about a client. This resource does not replace clinical supervision, safeguarding procedures, professional guidance or your own clinical judgement.
