About Me
I’m Simon Riley, a therapist specialising in Clay Field Therapy and creative, body-oriented approaches to support psychological health and emotional wellbeing.
My professional journey has been deeply influenced by a longstanding interest in how early experiences, sensory processes, and relational dynamics shape psychological development.
I began my career in person-centred counselling and later specialised in Clay Field Therapy, completing advanced training with Cornelia Elbrecht. To further expand my practice, I have pursued studies in mindfulness-based approaches, developmental trauma, and play therapy, integrating these perspectives to provide a well-rounded therapeutic experience supporting emotional regulation, self-awareness, and relational attunement.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of settings, including therapeutic services, schools, and community organisations throughout Liverpool, Sefton, and Merseyside. These varied experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of non-verbal and creative processes to facilitate healing, especially in spaces where words alone may fall short.

Working with clay as a therapeutic medium has shown me time and again how the body “remembers” and seeks integration — often long before the mind can articulate it. It is a privilege to accompany clients as they reconnect with their own inner resources, resilience, and creativity.
Outside of therapy, I am passionate about continued learning and nature-based practices, which inform my approach to psychological wellbeing and guide how I support clients in Liverpool, Merseyside, and the North West through Clay Field Therapy and supervision.
